Kinamo's new pet

Kinamo Jr. has been saving his allowance to buy a pet. I am not ready for a dog, so he settled on a Beta fish. The perfect pet for now. His name is Johnny Terrain. Kinamo has been very responsible for him and someday will make a great dog owner. It cost him $22.

Kinamo's new car

On Friday we bought a new car for Kinamo. He drives to Del Rio each week and needed a car we felt peaceful about him driving in. The purchase was an amazing spiritual journey. We felt impressed to replace his car. Then as we started looking at what to replace it with we were lead to the crossovers, something we never thought about buying. Then as we test drove a variety of crossovers we felt really good about the Acura RDX. It has all the safety features we wanted for Kinamo's commute. I am grateful that it all come together so easily. Sorry the picture is not so great, but I forgot to take one before Kinamo was leaving for the week, so I took a quick one in the garage.

San Antonio Tea Party

On April 15, 2009 Kinamo Jr and I went down town to the Alamo in San Antonio to the tax Tea Party. We got there around 2:30 and we were happy to see a big crowed gathering. At 4:00-5:00 Glenn Beck was on stage to do his Fox news show. Then from 6-8 we had the Tea Party. It was an amazing day. The police estimate that 20,000 people attended. For those of you who don't watch Fox, don't know who Glenn Beck is, and don't know what the heck a Tea Party is this means nothing to you. But those of you do, understand the power and excitement this day was. The Tea Party is a stand against government bail outs, government big spending, government debt and Big Government in generally. It was the beginning of a movement to let our voices be heard that we have had enough and aren't going to sit by without letting our voices be heard. I am a very proud American and Texan and believe we owe it to our children to stop the government from spending so much money that we can never pay it off.

Remember the 90's

The first grades at Karley's school performed a "dancing through the decades" on Tuesday night. It was a lot of fun. Karleys class was the 90's. Karley also got to be one of the MC for her class. Sorry about the video on her MC that takes a minute to get focused.

Let's go fly a kite!

Because today is Good Friday, the kids are out of school. Thankfully there are still some Christian acknowledgements in our school systems. The weather is perfect. There is a great breeze and the kids are taking advantage of the great weather. They got out their kites to fly. They had a great time. I love spring.

Let your voice be heard

I am so excited to announce that Glenn Beck is coming to San Antonio for our April 15, 2009 Tea Party. He will be doing his Fox show live from the Alamo. We finally have a true way to have our voices heard. For many months I have been in outrage over the bailouts, corruption in our government and the direction I see our country going. I love America and believe it was founded on righteous principles. But I hate what I see happening to our country. I am a true believer in "to the Republic for which we stand". I feel so excited to go to this tea party and let my voice be heard. I have put in two websites that I love. Please take the time to watch them. God bless America.
