The Kids are at school, Let's Party

On Thursday I had a back to school party for the Moms. We thought it would be fun to share grade school and High school Prom pictures. It was so much fun laughing at all the "Big Hair". When you get 20 moms, food and old pictures together there is much laughter and fun. I have been so blessed to have such a great group of friends. We had a few awards to give out at the end. They were the best looking date, best dress, biggest hair, most changed and still the same. I love hosting parties and this was one of the best.

First Day of School

What does the first day of school mean? FREEDOM for mom. Ok, I was a tiny, tiny bit sad to see Ashley off to Kinder and Kinamo off the Middle school. But mostly I was just so happy that they are back in school. The boredom and fighting last week was enough to say all of us were ready for school. I does feel weird to only have one child at home. It has been nine years since I have only had one child at home.

Each picture of the girls shows their very different styles. Haley was sporting the New York commuter look. To her credit she does have TH clogs in her back pack. Karley in her trendy leggings and Ashley in her Athletic wear.

Now I am off to catch up on 3 months worth of errands!!!

Bad new

We went today to get the CT scan results and they did find another tumor in Karley's ear. So she is now going to be seen by an neurotologist (Which is an even more specialised ear Dr) to see what we need to do. Please keep her in your prayers.

Karley turns 7

Yesterday was Karleys birthday. We had a great day and she loved being the princess for the day. She started the day with her favorite breakfast of dried cereal, milk in a cup and fruit. Then she wanted to listen to my Ipod on the way to the gym, which made all the other kids jealous. At the gym when you scan in your membership card on your birthday it plays "Today's your birthday". She loved the attention. Then we went to Chuck E Cheese pizza and played for 3 hours. Those picture I will post letter because I forgot my camera and a friend took them. When we got home two of her friends came over for a movie, cake and ice cream, and Karaoke. Sunday we had celebrated her day with Kinamo. We are so blessed to have Karley and her sweet spirit as a member of our family. She is the most girlie of our three girls.

The funniest part of her birthday was when Haley and Ashley gave her their present. They had worked all morning on a present for her. When she opened it she said "My money, hair clip and sonic toy. I wondered where they went" I guess Haley and Ashley haven't heard it is not polite to regift especially when it is that persons own things.

Weekends are the BEST

In April Kinamo started commuting to Del Rio to work. So the week gets kind of long and we all look forward to the Weekends. For the first time in a long time I feel we have really awesome weekends. It is like when we were dating and just couldn't wait for the weekend so we could see each other again. Only now we have marriage privileges and 5 kids.

Attention all bloggers

Friends and Family before we left on vacation we lost our hard drive to the computer. The computer nerds were able to retrieve a lot of our info but we lost some. School time

This week I have shopped for the kids school supplies and new clothes. When you have four in school it makes for a lot of shopping and many dollars. But I love this time of year. School starting has always been so fun to me. When we would get home from shopping the girls would try on all their new clothes. Joey didn't want to be left out so he would pull on his clothes until I took them off. Then he wanted to put on one of Karley's new shirts. He looks cute now but in a few years I am sure he will hate this picture.

Sleeping Beauty

Kaley had to have a CT scan to see if she has another tumor in her ear. She did so well. She laid so still and was a perfect patient. For those who didn't know Karley had a tumor behind her ear drum March of 2007. She had surgery to remove it and the ENT DR. said there was a 50% chance it would return. Last week we went to see the Dr. and he thinks it has returned. We won't know the results of the scan until the 22nd. I will have more info then, but please keep her in your prayers.

ON MY WAY TO EAGLE SCOUT

Kinamo had his first Court of Honor. He earned his Tender Foot and 2 merit badges. He loves scouts and is very excited to work for his Eagle. We are proud of him.
